Bridgehead Media
May 2015 to
December 2018
While with Bridgehead, I worked to develop short-form copy relating primarily to collections of music themed across multiple eras, movements and locales. I regularly collaborated with multiple writers and editors to align with parameters including character count and tone. The former, in particular, was strictly monitored to ranges between 50 and 500 characters, posing the challenge of maintaining clarity, coherence and depth within an extremely limited space. Workload was varied depending on need, ranging from 5 to 20 entries weekly. For the duration of my contract, I worked remotely, adapting to wholly-digital collaboration, communication and organization.
My work as a writer and occasional editor for Bridgehead was exclusively in relation to a contract with the music streaming service division of one of the largest global technology companies. I was brought onboard as an experienced music and arts writer with subject matter expertise in Indonesian music from current and past eras, and eventually expanded to Asia, India, Russia, South America and select European countries. (My interests also include many North American musical styles and scenes from the 1920s to present, as well as many Classical movements, though the opportunity to contribute within these themes was rare.)
I am not able to share the end results of my work with Bridgehead due to contractual confidentiality agreements.
